I first saw this opi Rainbow Glitter nail polish on llymlrs blog (you can see her post here) I have been really into the glitter nails recently, and this definitely was a lot easier to apply than the glitter pots. They made a mess everywhere and were not very comfortable to wear, they felt a bit like sandpaper. This nail polish is very easy to use, looks just as effective and feels much softer. I feel very festive with my nails now. You can get the nail polish online here. Also see my post about the Nail Glitter Pots here.

Halloween Inspiration
Wish I had had time to get a proper halloween outfit sorted this year. Below are a few things I found on the net but I didn't have the time to do. Nail art and face paint would have looked way better, even if they are time consuming. Ah well, there is always next year. 1. Dia de los Muertos, 2. Sugar Skull, 3. Halloween Nail Art, 4. Splatter Nails.

Glitter Pots
I know I have blogged quite a bit about nail art recently, but I have only just discovered these nail glitter pots from gosh. You paint a thin layer of base coat and then dip your finger in the pot, the glitter sticks straight to your nail and you can brush off the excess glitter. Sounds simple enough, but I still managed to make a mess of everything getting glitter everywhere! The end result looks great, however it feels a bit like sandpaper which is a little annoying. You can get the glitter pots in lots of different colours, I thought I would stick with the gold for now, I look a bit festive. Its too early to get excited about christmas though.

Nail art
I had another little go with the nail art pens today. I'm still a bit wobbly and need some practice but think the patterns look quite nice. I am always too impatient to wait for them to dry too, and usually smudge them! I attempted to recreated Boom Nails aztek patterns. Check out her blog for much better designs!

Crazy Cat
I knowww i need to stop taking photos of Toulouse but i just can't help it sometimes. Steph bought her some catnip the other day and she goes crazy on it! Trying to bite your fingers and wrestle your feet! Also, i tried out the new barry m nail effects polish with an orange base coat and it worked better this time. Might have to do it again for halloween.

Cracked Nails
My house mate Rachel came home yesterday with the new Barry M instant nail effect nail polish. We first came across it on Polly's Pecan Pie blog. The nail polish dries and cracks to create this effect. It worked really well on Rachel, but i think i was a little too impatient to wait for my base coat to dry! Check out the tutorial on the Barry M website to see how it works. www.barrym.com/products/product.asp?id=155

ladybird
I painted my mum and sisters nails today after work. Sophie wanted england flags ready for the match tomorrow and i did little ladybirds for mum. They look so cute. Still need to practice more to get used to the pens, they are very fiddly. Look at Emma Butchers blog for some really cool nail art. http://boomnails.blogspot.com/

Nail art
So i started playing around with my nail polish today, and experimented with these new nail art pens my mum had bought. They are really quite tricky to do but was fun. The left hand looked a bit... interesting seeing as im right handed and could hardly hold the pen! Check out Emma Butchers blog for some real nail art! Her stuff is great! http://boomnails.blogspot.com/
