Jo Brand came to Crystal Palace to learn how to dive. The programme was shown on Dave this weekend, and includes her dryland training as well as diving in the pool. The episode is hilarious, especially when Blake Aldridge gets into a matching polka dot swimsuit with Jo. Unfortunately you can't watch the whole episode online but it has been repeated lots on television.
Came across this video on the Crystal Palace Diving Team's website. The dives are incredible, they all land on the same spot and it gets much more complicated and faster! The chinese divers dive with such precision, they look like they just hang in the air. I'm wondering if my boss has new ideas for our team's diving display at competitions...
I have been designing monthly newsletters for Crystal Palace Diving club for about four months now. They have gone down really well, and we even started printing them on large AO mounted boards. Im going to continue doing the newsletters for the next few months now i am back at university in Bristol as they were so successful.
Finishing the next diving newsletter. Its surprising how much news there is each month! Im always being told to squeeze extra sections in! The team have trained really hard over summer and their diving is improving lots. Im going to miss them when im back at uni in a couple of weeks.
Crystal Palace diving team held a dive-a-thon fundraiser today. It was a really fun event where the divers (parents and coaches) had to do as many dives from the boards in 10 minutes. I ended up diving in the event and even did a couple of dives off the 10m, my shoulders are definitely going to hurt tomorrow!
I am working on the next newsletter at work for crystal palace diving team. The divers did really well over the last month in lots of competitions. They also won the dawdon shield at National age groups. The trophy has returned to Crystal Palace team after 16 years, when it was last won in 1994!
Im back working with Crystal Palace diving team over summer which is great. The divers are doing really well. I am currently designing a little club newsletter to send out to all the divers to congratulate them on their achievements in previous competitions the last couple of months.
