Markus Reugels' Liquid Worlds

I am a big fan of high speed photography and have posted before with artists creating liquid sculptures. But I never get bored with this technique of photography, I think it is stunning and really quite skilful. German artist Markus Reugels' continued experiments with water have developed into the most beautiful and extraordinary pieces. He has created liquid planets by using different backgrounds which refract through the water. The water droplets are timed precisely to give unpredictable water sculptures. His work is continuing to evolve and produce the most remarkable images. I really want to try this technique myself one day.

Heinz Maier

Amazing photography by Heinz Maier, the high speed photography really captures the most unique water sculptures. His photographs are really outstanding and very different to other water droplets I have seen before. The colours, the lighting, everything about these photographs are stunning. I love the 'water rabbit' (third photo down) water droplet, it looks so perfect, It looks like it could be a glass sculpture! I love the super slow motion filming, and the water sculptures created are just beautiful! High speed photography is definitely an area I want to experiment with at some point. Look at Shinichi Maruyama's website to see similar projects.
