Now that I am living in London, Ellie and I thought it would be nice to continue her post project and write to each other. She sent me a beautiful little package recently with goodies inside
http://rosieslade.blogspot.com/2011/08/exciting-post.html and we also sent postcards from our holidays. My letter was only little but I had so much to write inside! Looking forward to going back to Bristol next weekend to have a proper catch up with all my friends!

Exciting Post!
Was very excited to come home from work the other day to find this beauty had come through the post. My friend Ellie had posted me a letter with little goodies inside! Her final major project had been about post and we wanted to continue it on. Mail art is so much more exciting and a really nice way to keep in contact now that I have moved away from bristol. My reply will have to travel from Turkey as I go on holiday today for two weeks!

Mail Art
A few weeks ago Ellie made me a piece of mail art and sent it to my London address. Unfortunately I had already come back to Bristol by the time it had arrived at home! But today it finally came back through the post to my Bristol address. Ellie is trying to challenge the postal system and making the addresses a bit more difficult to read, some of them are delivered properly but others can take a while longer.
Check out her blog to see more post related art work.

Post for Ellie
My friend Ellie is looking at Post for her Self Directed Study. She has been getting a bit stuck recently as many of her letters are not being returned in the post. I thought I would help her out a bit so while she was away in London for the weekend, I left all my notes to her in letter form rather than a text or facebook message. She was very excited when she got back and enjoyed searching the house for the little letters. Plus it gave me an excuse to make little envelopes, which I love.
